Susan Hare

Ms. Hare is an Ojibway of the M’Chigeeng First Nation. A practicing lawyer in the areas of aboriginal and treaty rights, she worked to establish the Intensive Program in First Nations Lands, Resources and Governance at York University’s Osgoode Hall. She has Adjudicated institutional abuse settlements including Indian Residential Schools and finds time to practise native child welfare law and criminal law. She was a Member of the Ontario Press Council for eight years and is presently a Bencher with the Law Society of Upper Canada (elected 2007).
